best blender for frozen cocktails

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 is the perfect high end blender for people who are regularly making healthy smoothie drinks, protein shakes, hot soups, and even frozen desserts.

Vitamix has been around since 1921 and they are one of the top dogs in the world of blenders, they are famous for their high quality and durable products. Their blenders are often being touted as a measuring stick for other blenders, they are to blenders as Burger King is to fast food.

In my Vitamix Professional Series 750 review, I’m going to go over it’s main features, specifications, design, the good, the bad, and whether it’s worth purchasing or not.

This model of the Vitamix is more on the high end, and it’s for people who don’t mind paying for quality and performance. If you’re looking for the best blender that money can buy, the Vitamix Professional Series 750 is definitely worth considering.

Power

You’re looking at 2.2 horsepower and 1200-1400 watt of motor power. With this much power you can turn even hard ingredients into rich and silky smooth frozen drinks. Imagine, no more lumpy smoothies or finding random unblended chunks of ingredients like you would with other lower powered blenders. It also does the job pretty quickly, unlike cheaper blenders that take forever to blend everything.

Buttons

The control panel is very easy to use, all the buttons are laid out clearly and concisely. There are 10 speed levels on one side, 5 preset buttons on the other side, the on/off button, and also a pulse button. Four of the preset buttons is for making smoothies, hot soups, frozen desserts, and purees. The 5th button is not for blending but for cleaning, just put a drop of soap into the blender with hot/warm water, press the button (with the lid on) and the blender will clean itself in about 30 to 60 seconds!

Quiet Blending

Most blenders are noisy as hell and if you use it too early in the morning you will face very angry neighbors when going outside. You won’t have this issue with the Vitamix, it is comparatively quiet even as it’s blending rough and tough ingredients like frozen ice cubes for a frozen cocktail.

Hot Soup Feature

Craving hot soup but don’t want to turn on the stove top? No problem. One of the most unique thing about this blender is it’s hot soup making button. Just load your ingredients into the blending container, press the hot soup preset button and in about 10 minutes you will have hot soup! The heat comes from the friction generated by the blades, how cool is that?

It Cleans Itself

A very innovative feature about this blender is it’s ability to clean itself. Just put some warm soapy water in the blending container, put on the lid, press the cleaning preset button and in about a minute it will have cleaned itself.

64oz Blending Pitcher

The plastic blending pitcher has a maximum capacity of 64oz (1.9 liters), it has a low and wide design that makes it easy to fit under most kitchen cabinets. Because it’s made from plastic instead of glass, it is very lightweight, and you also won’t have to worry too much about dropping it on the floor and easily breaking it.

The Good

  • Powerful 2.2 peak horsepower motor, can quickly liquefy even tough ingredients within seconds
  • 10 blending speed levels
  • 5 preset buttons
  • Comparatively quiet compared to other blenders
  • Has a hot soup making button, no stove top needed
  • It cleans itself by pressing the cleaning preset button
  • Has a low and wide compact shape that fits nicely into most kitchen cabinets
  • Comes with a 7 year warranty, but built to last you your whole life

The Bad

  • This is a high end blender, and some people may be put off by it’s high price tag
  • It weighs 13lbs which is kind of heavy
  • Not dishwasher friendly, but it makes up for that by having a self cleaning preset button

Conclusion: Is It Worth Buying?

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 blender definitely comes with all the features you’d look for in a powerful high-end blender. It’s not exactly cheap, and so it’s for people who don’t mind spending more to get more, or people who are looking to invest in a high quality blender that will last for years and years.

If you’re just someone who is just looking for something more affordable but still powerful, you’re better off buying a mid-end blender like the NutriBullet Pro 900 or the Ninja Professional NJ600

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 is a heavy investment, but if you’re looking for the best in terms of power, durability, features, and functions, it is definitely worth buying and you will not be disappointed.

I like that this blender does the full job quickly. That is nice. It sucks when blenders don’t get everything and take forever to do it. The quiet feature is also nice. I have really good hearing, loud noises bother me. My favorite thing you talk about is the hot soup feature. That sounds awesome. Soup is a great easy meal and this thing can make it even easier.
