What Is The NutriBullet 600?

It is a small and compact blender that can replace the tasks of a variety of different household kitchen appliances such as a blender, food processor, and coffee grinder. The Nutribullet is a successor to the original Magic Bullet blender, it is upgraded and more powerful.

This machine can make a variety of different things. A lot of people just think of blenders as only being good for smoothies, but many amazing dishes can be made with a high speed blender. You can mix batter of muffins & banana bread, make nut butters, shred cheese (vegan cheese!), make spaghetti sauces, many kinds of soups, and even make healthy ice cream by blending frozen fruits like bananas.

The NutriBullet reviews and ratings are rather good. Users of the NutriBullet really enjoy how easy it is to use and clean, and also praise the smoothness and consistency of blended smoothies.

The NutriBullet 600 is sold in over 50 countries in the world and it’s a pretty known and trusted brand. If you’ve ever watched TV late at night or early in the morning, then there’s a probable chance that you’ve seen one of their fun 30 minute infomercials.

Power and Performance

The NutriBullet has 600 watts behind the blades with a 20,000 RPM. It is over twice as powerful as it’s predecessor, The Magic Bullet blender, which only has 250 watts. It is the first model of the NutriBullet series, and it is not as powerful as later NutriBullet models such as the NutriBullet Pro and the NutriBullet Rx.

You can blend virtually anything from fresh kale, spinach, almonds, frozen bananas, berries, to coffee beans and seeds. Compared to The Magic Bullet, it is a lot more powerful and has more blending capabilities. The ingredients that it blends is a lot more smooth and consistent. You can emulsify seeds, stems and skins, breaking down tough ingredients to release the nutrients inside.

How Loud Is It?

As with many powerful blending machines, it will be noisy when it’s blending, grinding, chopping, or mixing. You will wake up your family members if you blend up smoothies early in the morning. Overall, the noise is considered okay and not that much different from most blending machines.

Using The Machine

The NutriBullet comes with many accessory parts including 3 different sized jars, 2 lip rings, 2 resealable lids and a recipe book. It also comes with 2 different kind of blades, the emulsifying blade for blending smoothies, and the milling blade for crushing and grinding hard and dense ingredients like coffee beans.

Easy to use

This is a small machine with a very simplistic design, setting it up to use in the beginning is very easy. Just place it anywhere on a flat and steady surface (ideally on the counter of your kitchen) and plug it into an electrical socket, now it’s ready.

Step by Step Guide

1. Grab a small or large jar of your choosing, the large one is 24oz, the small one is 18oz. Fill the jar with your ingredients, it works better if you chop things up into smaller chunks.

Note: Make sure you don’t fill the liquids over the maximum line markings. Doing so will cause leaking to occur onto the machine and damage it. But you can fill your solid fruits/veggies to the top.

2. The NutriBullet 600 comes with 2 different kind of blades, which one you choose would depend on what you’re using it for. For blending and mixing, you should use the emulsifying blade, use the milling blade for tasks such as grinding coffee, nuts and seeds. Pick a blade and screw it on your jar.

3. Turn the jar and put it onto the motor base, make sure it clicks and lock into place.

4. The machine operates on 1 speed setting, also there are no switches or buttons to press. To operate all you do is gently press down on the jar, the blade will turn as long as you’re holding it down, it will stop as soon as you let go. To keep the blade running without having to hold it down, all you need to do is press down and turn it clockwise, this will turn on the “Lock On” mode. To turn off simply turn it back counterclockwise.

Easy to Clean

Cleaning the Nutribullet is pretty easy. Don’t wash the blades in the dishwasher or it can be damaged, they can be washed by hand with warm soapy water. The plastic cups can be washed in the dishwasher, but only on the top rack of the dishwasher using the normal settings. The temperature from the bottom rack could get too high and end up damaging the plastic cups.

Pros

  • It can effortlessly blend, mix, whip, and grind almost any food into a smooth and consistent substance in about 10 seconds or less.
  • At 600 Watts of power, it is over twice as powerful as it’s predecessor, The Magic Bullet.
  • The cups/jars for blending has a double usage for drinking, creating less things to wash and clean
  • The price is nominal for the features you’re getting.
  • Made with BPA-free non-toxic material.
  • Comes with 12 accessories including a pocket nutritionist and a recipe guide.

Cons

  • The lifespan of this machine is not very long, you do get what you pay for.
  • It is loud when operating.
  • This is the first original NutriBullet in the series, and it’s not as powerful as it’s later models such as The NutriBullet Pro & NutriBullet RX.

The NutriBullet 12-Piece Set

Warranty

The NutriBullet takes pride in the craftsmanship of their products, they automatically cover you with a 1 year limited warranty. If you are purchasing through Amazon, you have the option to extend your coverage for up to 4 years.

Accessories

If you’re buying on Amazon or in stores, you may see the NutriBullet in bundles with 8, 12, or 14 pieces of accessories, the latter of which includes a Flip-top to-go lid and an oversized mug. The accessories are also sold separately and can be purchased on their own.

Good Value For The Money

This is a great little blender for people who are serious or semi-serious about blending healthy drinks often. It is more expensive than The Magic Bullet, but the power and performance is a lot better as well. But it is not as powerful as the later NutriBullet models (NutriBullet Pro & NutriBullet RX), but it’s still a pretty good deal for the money you’re paying. If your intention is to buy a small little personal blender to blend fruit and protein smoothies for one person, then it’s probably worth your money.

The warranty is only 1 year and so it is a bit on the short end, but if purchasing on Amazon you do have the choice of getting an additional 4 years for a few extra bucks. This option effectively quadruples the lifespan of your investment, it is this option that makes it worth buying in my opinion.

My Review

  • Power and Performance (4.0/5)
  • Ease of Use (4.3/5)
  • Ease of Cleaning (4.5/5)
  • Value For Price (4.2/5)
4.3

Final Thoughts

The NutriBullet 600 is a lot more powerful than The Magic Bullet, it has 600 Watts of motor power and can do everything it’s predecessor can do and more. This increased performance is reflected in the price.

Overall, it’s a a great option for people who are seriously thinking of trying out the blending lifestyle. Although some people may still think 600 Watts of motor power doesn’t give them the blending experience they’re looking for, for those people I’d recommend that they check out NutriBullet’s more powerful later models such as the NutriBullet Pro or NutriBullet RX.

We decided a few months back to purchase a Nutribullet in order to accomplish a more healthier lifestyle and delighted with the results.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of veg and I seldom eat fruit however this thing whizzes a whole variety of concoctions and they do taste fab, I have never eaten or should I say dank so much fruit and veg in my life.
The advantages we find are due to not cooking the veg all the healthy nutrients are consumed and it’s one heck of a good use up regarding food we used to throw away at the end of the week.

Our favourite concoction is kiwi fruit mixed with spinach and banana, sounds weird yet tastes superb and full of healthy nutrients.
    What’s your favourite Nutribullet recipe?
I highly recommend the Nutribullet, works wonders for us,
    Simon.

      Hey Simon,

I do like how there’s so many 10 second recipes you can make, I’d love to try them all, especially the ones they made in those infomercials. I usually blend up smoothies and that’s my favorite, sometimes I make soups.

That kiwi fruit mixed with spinach and banana doesn’t sound weird at all, sounds like something I normally have. Although I tend to not put greens into my fruit smoothies, I rather have them in a salad instead.

    very great review!

i completely agree with you in that Nutribulle is completely amazing. the ease-of-use is second to none when compared to any other blender or juicer that I’ve come across. one of the most amazing things is how easy it is to clean, and how easy it is to transport, and just the fact that it serves as both the blender and drinker is just pure genius. all for a very good price too.

awesome review and I encourage more people to buy as i use this most days!

I get mixed up on which Nutribullet I had. But I purchased my Nutribullet in 2014 and it lasted me to last year. I had no problem for two years for the most part.

I moved and I forgot it at my other apartment so it did not die on me it was very trusty!!!

Now my sister told me that it dies on people after about a year so maybe I was the exception and not the rule not sure.

But I loved it!!! I am going to purchase another asap. It helped me to cut my appetite the juicing taste great. I felt better and was so much more healthier .

Thanks for the post. The NutriBullet needs more exposure

The warranty is only 1 year and I have also heard of customers saying it breaks down after a year, so I don’t think it’s a rare occurance or any kind of exception. The lifespan of these blenders are not incredible, but If you’re buying the NutriBullet off of Amazon, you can actually extend your coverage to 4 years (it doesn’t cost very much more) so you would have peace of mind knowing it would be repaired or replaced if any mechanical problems ever occur after that 1 year. Anyway, I’m glad yours lasted at least 2 years and you love it so much you’re gonna it another one. Thanks for sharing your experience!
